The End of the Earth

Sitting in the common area of our hostel in Ushuaia. Sandra and Lis, two Mexican girls we befriended have had their flights postponed because of an airline strike.

Sandra: Yeah, this sucks. We can't fly out until tomorrow.

Gary: Ah well, sure it's not the end of the world.

Sandra: Well, actually Gary, it is!

Nice.

Ushuaia. The most southerly city in the world. Lovely spot, lovely people. 

The Magellan Straits, on the road to Ushuaia. 12 hours on a bus and 2 border crossings. Yes, that's awesome. 

El Bolson. Site of a former hippy commune. Average age of 8. Legal drinking age of 13 by all accounts.... 

One of the vistas from the shores of Lago Nahuel Huapi, close to Bariloche, in the lake district. 

Aoife and her favorite, the Ford Falcon. Saw these babies all over Argentina. Beautiful machines, don't you think? 

Saw around ten of these guys. Could almost touch them at one stage. 

A `South Right Whale�, up close and personal. Taken off the Valdes peninsula. Fantastic! 

"I loikes armadillos!" The highlight of the Valdes trip!

The Rio Azul valley. Close to El Bolson. Four hour hike. Worth every minute for this view.

Creamfields BA.

Amongst the revellers at this years Creamfieds in BA were Gary Lonergan, Aoife Dolan and the brothers Montana, Antonio and Alexander......
